PubKit 0.7.1, with installer, is now available
21 Oct 2010 MODx
PubKit version 0.7.1 is now available from this site, and from the MODx forums. Big new feature is an installer making it easy to add all the snippets, chunks, TVs and templates to your site, with an optional demo mini-site as well. Details of the installer, and a little module to create files for it from existing chunks etc., will follow in due course.
I'd like to say PubKit was available through the MODx Extras pages, but I haven't been able to make the upload work today. Is it me, or is it it? [UPDATE 28 Oct: tried again a few days later, and the package is now in the Extras] Meanwhile, here are links to a few screenshots:
- Entry form for a news item
- Preview of a news item
- Management screen - event items, with status
- Re-editing an event item
- The sample mini-site document tree
Apart from the installer, and some improved documentation, this version fixes a minor bug with setting menuindex (preserves an existing index unless you actually ask to change it); fixes a bug with expansion of the item intro as the start of the main body; gives you the choice of updating the permalink when you edit an item's title; and makes the running of the snippet that generates a security token optional.
This snippet is for MODx Evolution. I've not started exploring Revolution seriously yet - I still haven't done anything about the New Year resolution to learn about jQuery, after all.
